Movie Snapshots
These are the scouting photos for the movie locations. I believe God led me to all five places. We begin with Spokane Family Farm owned and operated by Mike and Trish. They were fun to work with AND, big plus, their cows listen to Positive Life Radio while they are being milked. And their milk is the best and healthiest in the area. (I'm the office manager for KEEH 104.9fm Positive Life Radio.)
The next location is the EJ Robert's Mansion in Brown's Addition in Spokane. Absolutely perfect vintage location. Nice yard, portch and secret garden. Could not have asked for a better place. We changed their sign so that it was the EJ Robert's Boarding House in the movie. Our chef fed us out near the gazebo in the yard.
Then we traveled to Athol, Idaho, to Cedar Mountain Farm Bed and Breakfast. Very similar terrain even the log cabin was similar to the buildings at the Anliker Farm in Goble, Oregon, where Alfred and Flo started their family and ran a small dairy farm. See the Goble locations here on my Facebook profile.
For the church and graveyard scene we used the turn-of-the-century Freeze Church in Potlatch, Idaho. Each Sunday, worship is still held in this awesome old structure. We shot on Sunday working around their service. Once we get to the church photos, we've added some shots of making the movie. Enjoy!
The fifth place is Eastern Washington State Hospital. We were able to shoot our doctor's office scene in one of their abandoned sun porches. Dr. Crawford, of River City Chiropractic had offered the use of his office but since it wasn't too 1930ish, we took him up on his other offer, to loan us an old fashioned room divider.
